Description
Dante is a big ball of love with an even bigger heart. He’s a happy, patient sweetheart who thrives in a structured environment—it helps him feel secure and build the confidence to fully open up. He’s both kennel trained and potty trained, and he’s very food-motivated, which makes training a great opportunity to bond with him. He’s currently working on leash manners (he can pull when excited), but he’s making progress and is easy to redirect. Dante absolutely loves people—especially kids! He enjoys playing with children of all ages, from young kids to teens. Because he can forget his size and strength when he gets excited, he would do best with guidance and continued structure to help him channel that energy. He’s been slowly introduced to cats and gets excited around them, but he typically doesn’t bark and is continuing to improve with proper introductions. He loves the dog park, that excitement gets the best of him. He is easily redirected and goes back to playing with other dogs. After a solid day of play, he does snore a little. Super cute! Once Dante feels safe and secure, his affectionate side really shines—he becomes a total cuddle bug who just wants to be close to his people. He does monitor first before making any decision. Basically, watches to learn behaviors as we watched him since we have been fostering him. Dante is truly a loving, loyal companion who just needs a home that will provide consistency, guidance, and love. In return, you’ll get a joyful, devoted best friend.
